1.-Bo married man will be enlisted, and no married
quarters will be provided until an officer reaches the
rank of Police Sergeant or attains the age of 30. A
deduction of 4 per cent will be made from the salaries
of all uropean Police from the date on which they join
the Poros as a contribution towards the Widows' and
Orphans' Pension Funë.
II. For purposes of local payment the salary is
converted into dollare at the rates from time to time
approved by the Government for the permanent and
pensionable staff and no olais can be entertained in
respect of any fluctuation in the value of the dollar.
III. A bounty of 225 ia paid on enlistment to recruite
Joining the forse in the United Kingdom.
17. Half pay will be drawn from the date of embarkation,
and full pay from the date of arrival in the Colony.
V. An officer's engagement is for a period of five
years, at the expiry of which he is entitled to a passage,
second class by steamer and third olass by railway,
in England to London, Scotland to Edinburgh, Ireland
to Dublin or Belfast, and if his services have been
satisfactory, to half pay during the voyage. In case
the officer shall complete the term of engagement ne
provided herein at the least and his services then be
dispensed with or if be declines further employment
after the expiration of his agreement and he receives a
certificate from the Inspector General of Police to the
effect that his services have been entirely satisfactory
he will be granted leave with full salary in accordance
with the rules laid down under the Police Force Ordinance
